We will leave Saigon eastward, hitting off-road paths within an hour. We’ll only briefly cross the highway to explore rubber plantations and enjoy nature along small paved and red dirt roads, perfect for photos. There’s an optional off-road challenge, but if not, we’ll continue onto the scenic 55th highway for the afternoon. As we reach Bảo Lộc town via winding backroads, we’ll be treated to stunning green vistas. Our overnight stay in Bảo Lộc will be at a charming hilltop villa.
The Ho Chi Minh Trail

This tour is fully customizable and flexible in terms of number of days, driving distances and more. Our Ho Chi Minh Trail tour covers most highlights between Hanoi and Saigon, by the way the starting and finishing cities are interchangeable. You may start in Hanoi if desired. The middle of the tour by the central beaches is a perfect opportunity for a break from riding if necessary, while witnessing the charm of Hoi An and the mountainous as well as beach landscapes there are around.

Starting from Bảo Lộc, we will visit minority ethnic villages with stunning valley views, then proceed to the Tà Đung road for expansive lake and hill panoramas. Lunch by the lake offers a picturesque setting. Continuing northward, we navigate backroads with optional off-road challenges. As we near our destination, we’ll traverse long paved routes through vast rice fields and hills. The day ends in Buôn Ma Thuột with a delightful dinner of ethnic minority cuisine, perfect for a well-deserved rest after a day of adventure.

Day 2 of our typical itinerary requires considerable energy and stamina, featuring challenging off-road sections and narrow backroads. During this optional extension, we’ll spend an afternoon and night at a picturesque wooden villa nestled in a valley beside a tranquil stream. Departing from the renowned city of Buôn Ma Thuột, we venture onto the backroads, traveling northeast towards Gia Lai province. Today’s route mainly follows well-paved roads, passing through some of the least populated areas of the highlands. This perfectly complements our destination, located in a remote area with only one notable accommodation option where we’ll spend the night. The ride features long stretches of excellently paved roads, offering uninterrupted views of the surrounding mountains throughout our journey.

However, for those craving more adventure, there’s the option of embarking on a 150-kilometer backroads loop during the day. By arriving in Hội An around lunchtime, we’ll have plenty of opportunities to unwind in the afternoon and fully immerse ourselves in the vibrant atmosphere of the night market later in the evening. This adaptable plan ensures a delightful experience tailored to everyone’s varied preferences.
